Help me get The Beast to the Cannonball 2012 finish line

As my plans become firm I will detail the expected costs of the adventure. For now I estimate that food, fuel, and lodging for the rider and two crew members will cost $405 per day. Assuming 4 days of preparation, 15 days of riding, and 5 days to return, I estimate expenses of $9,700. The entry fee is $1,500. Motorcycle service and preparation will run $2,500. Spares will run $1,000. Clothing and equipment could be $1,500. And, contingencies will run $1,000. So, the projected total is $17,200. Should I not participate in Cannonball 2012, all donations will be returned. Please see Event > Expenses for details of the expected costs of the adventure. I estimate that food, fuel, and lodging for the rider and two crew members will cost $480 per day. Assuming 4 days of preparation, 17 days of riding, and 3 days to return, I estimate expenses of $11,500. The entry fee is $1,500. Motorcycle service and preparation will run $2,500. Spares will run $1,000. Clothing and equipment could be $1,500. And, contingencies will run $1,000. So, the projected total is $19,000. But, I think this will rise. Should I not participate in Cannonball 2012, all donations will be returned.
